Who We Are

Team of dedicated professionals

Turning Leaf Landscapes believes in our people, our process and our purpose.

Our People: Honestly, when I think about our crew i’m left speechless. They are an amazing, dedicated bunch of professionals who want to do well for you. We truly believe in serving you well, period.

Our Process: Its simple, it begins and ends with you. We want to hear your story, your dreams and desires for the space-only then can we create a feature that encapsulates you in the design. Have your own plan, builder or design?….great! We do that too.

Our Purpose: To be the best stewards of creation we can and glorify God along the way.

Dave Beer

Founder, President

It’s been a long time since I was a kid, plowing forest service roads to keep access open to cabins on Vermilion, or building my own ice road that cut 15 mins of my school commute to creating and caring for the local landscapes in the North Country…those were the days!

Now, a lot of time has gone by (even though much of that plowing was done before I had my Drivers License shhh) but the passion remains.

We are driven to achieve high results by making enhancements that are more than just hard and soft landscapes or putting fancy stripes in your lawn. We are after the improvements to your quality of life, we thrive on the responses we get when folks see the finished project, we love when your family huddles around the new fire pit or water feature and we love the fact that you now have this great space for entertaining …it’s the best. We keep you and your family time, front of mind. We are here to serve.

After coming to the “big city” for college at UNW St.Paul I met and married Julie and make no mistake, she’s the (benevolent) boss! After graduation I spent several years in software while starting a family. Software sales provided a great career and awesome earnings but it all felt like a square peg in a round hole. After several years of encouragement from friends to start the craft here in the cities and catching a reflection of myself in a mirrored window of a Chicago skyscraper and my bride saying why not I said yes, lets do it…and the rest is, as they say, history.

It has been a real blessing to be a steward of creation and being able to work the land with my bride and children…..well, young adults now. We are beyond grateful.

We look forward to bringing this skill and passion to you.

Carlos & Uden

Operations and Team Leads

Brothers in arms, smart and skilled beyond belief. When these two come together there is nothing that can’t be done. Their thought process is always solution oriented, it’s always about how do we get to yes and now what’s your question? It’s this thinking and culture that permeates our team from top to bottom.

Having this type of thinking and culture is a huge advantage for you. There is always “something” that comes up when dealing with Mother Nature and all things earth. Our experience, our expertise and our literal “can do” attitude ensures your project will be completed on time and on budget…big and small alike.

The right stuff

Turning Leaf Landscapes believes in hiring and training the best landscape professionals and equipping them with the best equipment and tools possible. Our people are what separate us from the rest. Having a talented and reliable crew gives you the assurance your project will be managed and finished by the same artisans that started it, not that we have anything against patchwork but we feel that looks best on a quilt.

Beyond your project we can also provide Winter Maintenance, Lawn Maintenance, Tree and Shrub Plantings, Retaining Walls, Irrigation, Mulch and Rock Work as well as delicate Annual and Perennial plantings…and more.
